BOND BEHAVIOR OF LIGHTWEIGHT CONCRETE WITH RESIDUES
Abstract
It is well known that in order to make and preserve the world's present productive activities it is needed rational destination of residues from the various industrial brenches. In fact the reuse of solid waists in construction has been object of scientific research, which is an attempt to propose rationally, environmentally and technologically correct answers. This research presents a study on bond behavior of lightweight concrete. Pharmacy industry plastic residues were used as aggregate to obtain lightweight concrete. Within the experimental program bond strength was measured according to the proposed theory formulation and technical requirements. Bond strength results obtained from bar friction coefficient test and pull out test on both regular and lightweight pumping concrete went through a comparative study and statistical analysis. This way the main causes that influence in the bond behavior could be identified. Keywords: Lightweight concrete, ordinary concrete, residues.Downloads
