Abstract

This work presents a study of the corrosion in copper pipes used in the hydraulic installations of solar absorbers. The occurrence of falls like cracking and degradation resulted in leakage of water and damages to users. It was realized the chemical composition and macro analysis of samples as they were received. The samples were examined on Optical Microscope (OM) and on the Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM). It was investigated the propagation of cracking and products from corrosion. Before a micro analysis, some samples were coated with chemical Ni in order to preserve the profile of cracking. Keywords: solar absorbers, copper pipes, cracking, corrosion.
