OS EFEITOS DA PADEMIA POR COVID-19 NA SAÚDE DOS PACIENTES COM FIBROMIALGIA

Este estudo tem por objetivo apresentar o conhecimento atual acerca dos impactos da pandemia COVID-19 na saúde de pacientes com fibromialgia. Para tanto realizou-se uma revisão de escopo de publicações de 2020 a abril de 2023, nas bases de dados Pubmed e EBSCO, com os descritores Covid-19; Sars Cov 2 e Fibromyalgia. Como resultado, mapeou-se 17 estudos, evidenciando que a pandemia Covid-19 gerou danos psicológicos e físicos aos pacientes a fibromialgia, como aumento da dor e da ansiedade. Conduto, há relatos de benefícios, como a resiliência e o autocuidado. Em conclusão, a pandemia trouxe estressores adicionais que podem ter piorado os sintomas da fibromialgia, embora alguns estudos relatem uma percepção de melhora, possivelmente devido a uma maior conexão social durante o período de confinamento.
