HOMOSSEXUALIDADE, MODERNIDADE E TRADIÇÃO GREGA

Resumo

RESUMO: Este artigo tem por objetivo, por um lado, fazer uma análise cultural da categoria homossexualidade, ao colocar em evidência a construção histórica tanto do conteúdo de seu conceito quanto da identidade produzida por este fenômeno desde então na modernidade e, por outro, verificar a influência, em diversos momentos e de diversas formas (historiografia e literatura), da tradição grega, especialmente o homoerotismo clássico ateniense, (nesta construção histórica). A relação que se quer verificar é, portanto, a que se estabelece entre a tradição clássica do helenismo e a construção da homossexualidade na modernidade, bem como sua luta política. ABSTRACT: This article intends, on the one hand, to make a cultural analysis of the category homosexuality, showing clearly the historical construction of as much the content of its concept as the identity produced by that fenomenum ever since in the modernity and, on the other hand, to verify the influence, in different moments and ways (historiography and literature), of the greek tradition, specially the athenian classic homoerotism, in that historical construction. The relationship intended to do is, therefore, between the classical tradition of the helenism and the construction of the homosexuality in the modernity, as well as its political struggle.
