Abstract

In this work is presented a simulation process of hot forging with the titanium alloy Ti-6Al-4V using the computational program LARSTRAN/SHAPE, which is a program of finite elements and allows to the bi and three-dimensional solution. Using different curves of flow, it was compared its influence with the forging force in an experimental procedure. Some used parameters were: the speed of press was of 6.7 mm/s, the initial temperature of forging was of 950°C and the average strain rate was of 0.52 s-1. Keywords: Simulation, Ti-6Al-4V, curves of flow.
