Abstract

The slab of prefabricated beams is used to all type of construction, and its use in the Brazilian market, represents major advantages, such as reduced of scaffold support and forms, fast fabrication and decreased the self-weight structure. The most usual joist and focus of this work is the lattice joist. In this case, part of the reinforcement is cast in place providing to the system, greater strength and able to use larger spans. Furthermore, this study aims a variation of this element, the lattice prestressed joist, which has a prestressed reinforcement in the concrete base. Therefore, this article shows a comparative analysis of lattice joist and lattice prestressed joist, using the ANSYS computer program. The physical nonlinear behavior of materials involved is considered in the simulations for elements with span of 3m for the assembly stage. The results show that the lattice prestressed joist is more effective than the lattice joist. The concrete material achieved the failure by cracking and in another cases, the buckling of the upper reinforced Keywords: lattice joists, lattice prestressed joists, nonlinear analysis, numerical analysis, assembly stage.
