This is an analysis of the sentence in the case Márcia Barbosa de Souza and her family members against the Brazilian State, of September 7, 2021, which deals with the parliamentary immunity of a state deputy, which culminated in the delay of the criminal process that analyzed the Murder of Mrs. Márcia Barbosa. The sentence, in the end, understood that Brazil had committed, by virtue of the aforementioned immunity, a violation of the guarantee of a reasonable period and the denial of justice - rules provided for in the American Convention on Human Rights.
