This paper aims at relating an experience of audio description in real context, linked to the University Extension Program. Such experience consisted in the audio description, made by Research and Extension Group Acesso Livre - UnB of the exposition Frida Kahlo: Connections among surrealist women in Mexico, which took place at CAIXA Cultural of Brasília, from April 13th to June 15th, 2016. First of all, the grounds of the action were established by readings and studies about audio description of visual arts. After that, the Group chose the pieces to be audio described with supervision of the coordinators and authors of the present paper. With the scripts prepared, the visit to the exposition was done, with 11 visually impaired people. The feedback of the participants and the self-evaluation of the students demonstrated that experiences in real contexts, with real subjects, help training future audio descriptors conscientious of the importance of their action to the society, besides improving their abilities.Downloads
