In the 1970s, a context of military dictatorship and selective technification of the Brazilian territory, Pernambuco and its capital, the metropolis of Recife, were home to the "Psicodelia Pernambucana", an artistic movement also known as "Udigrudi" or "Desbunde Recifense". Operationalizing the notion of Scene, instrumental to the study of an artistic manifestation from the everyday life of places, we analyze the variables, material and immaterial, embedded in the dynamics - past and present - of Recife's Udigrudi of the 1970s: recording studios, concert venues, meeting places, technical systems, productions, cooperation, conflicts, memories, wishes, and information flows. The methodology is based on bibliographic and documental research on the theme and on primary information gathered from technical visits to places stablished and appropriated by the Udigrudi scene, besides semi-structured interviews with the subjects involved with the theme. The empirical evidence demonstrates both the dynamism of a rich musical scene in a built environment based on socio-territorial inequality and political and moral repression, and places expressing the desires of those involved with the task of making concrete all the imagination contained in psychedelic experimentation, a phenomenon that echoes to this day.
