Copyright and Publication Agreement
Authors retain all copyrights to their work, without restrictions, granting the journal the right of first publication.
All authors must individually sign and submit a Publication License Agreement (available in instructions to authors), in which they guarantee they have read, understood, and followed all journal policies. These policies include, but are not limited to:
- Criteria and responsibility of authorship.
- Disclosure of all author contributions, funding sources, and potential conflicts of interest.
- Policies on originality, prior publication, and malpractice.
- Adherence to all applicable ethical requirements during research and publication.
- Preparation and inclusion of all required statements regarding ethical conduct, data availability, and use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools.
- Copyright and licensing model.
Open Access
The Bioscience Journal is an Open Access journal, meaning all its content is available free of charge, with no costs to users or their institutions. Users may read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of the articles, or use them for any other legal purpose, provided they respect the Creative Commons license used by the journal. This definition of open access aligns with the Budapest Open Access Initiative - BOAI.
Licensing
Works published by the Bioscience Journal use the Creative Commons Attribution - CC BY license, available at https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/, which allows use, distribution, adaptation, remixing, and creation of derivative works based on published articles, including for commercial purposes, provided due credit is given to the original authors. No prior permission from the publisher or authors is required, as long as the terms of this license are respected.
